The St. Louis Post-Dispatch is reporting that over 150 cats have been rescued from a home in Oakville.

According to the story:

Rescue workers brought in 138 cats, and at least 20 more remained in the house, hiding in the walls, cabinets, and ductwork, said Jeane Jae of the Humane Society. Workers set traps for them and will return for them on Tuesday. At least two dead cats were found inside.

The Humane Society was alerted to the property in the 2900 block of Spring Water Drive, off Becker Road, from St. Louis County animal control and other offices. The one-story home appeared tidy and was surrounded by other well-kept homes.
