The relatives of Betty Lou Knight, the Oakville resident who was fatally shot last summer while sitting on her back porch, have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against 77-year-old neighbor Raymond Bodicky.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the suite accuses Bodicky of “negligently and carelessly” Knight by shooting across private property in violation of county ordinance and state law.

The backyards of Crosswood Drive touch those of Lampglow Court, where Bodicky lives.
